T. Gilbert Pearson Audubon Society Charity Profile
The local chapter of the national Audubon Society serving Guilford County and surrounding communities is named for T. Gilbert Pearson. A long-time Greensboro resident, educator and conservationist, Pearson was one of the founders of the National Audubon Society.
The T. Gilbert Pearson Audubon Society is a diverse group who share a passion for birds and the natural world, and who want future generations to live in a world with wild birds. We are active in preserving natural areas in Guilford County; in advocating at the grass-roots level for local, state and national issues; in connecting children with the natural world; and in broadening the scientific understanding of the natural world.
Our mission is to foster appreciation, knowledge, and enjoyment of birds and nature, and to preserve our natural heritage at local and global levels.
